art is a part of Capital Kitchen. and as part of capital c, creativity is always on the menu. the restaurant is filled with and surrounded by inspiring design and architecture statements. beyond the restaurant, you’ll find a pop-up gallery in the entrance and art pieces around every corner.
whether you’re stopping by for coffee, a business lunch or dinner, creativity is always part of the experience.
creativity starts from within. we simply give it a place at the table.
as part of capital c amsterdam, capital kitchen is home to a curated collection of art and design by renowned dutch interior architect and curator maarten spruyt. inspired by his concept the inner human being, the collection explores creativity, identity and human connection through artworks displayed throughout the restaurant.
rather than decorating the space, each artwork has been selected to encourage curiosity, conversation and a fresh perspective. from breakfast and business lunches to private dinners and celebrations, the collection is designed to be discovered alongside the menu. the restaurant collection evolves throughout the year, giving returning guests something new to experience with every visit.
the pop-up gallery at Capital C Diamantbeurs presents rotating exhibitions by emerging and established artists, alongside creative collaborations, installations and cultural events. located next to Capital Kitchen, the gallery offers visitors the opportunity to combine lunch, dinner or drinks with a changing program of contemporary art.

one colour. thousands of stickers. a whole new perspective.
for MONO BLUE, artist peim van der sloot steps away from his usual palette of thirteen colours and gives himself one simple restriction: blue only. within that limitation, colour becomes the subject itself. His sticker collages move between abstraction and recognition, evoking water, sky and seemingly endless space.
built by hand, layer by layer, van der Sloot’s works turn thousands of individual stickers into landscapes, patterns and optical compositions. his practice moves between fine art, design and performance, often playing with the tension between order and chaos.
the exhibition brings this blue world into Capital C and Capital Kitchen, including works inspired by Amsterdam’s parks alongside a large-scale moon mural.

PEEL PLAZA
some terraces come with a view. ours comes with a story.
designed by internationally acclaimed artist Gabriel Lester, peel plaza is the creative heart of capital c and the natural extension of Capital Kitchen. from morning coffee and a quick lunch and drinks on the terrace. art, architecture and community come together in a public square designed for exactly that.
